Top 5 Best Shared Website Hostings Reviewed in 2019
Siteground has got you covered for any type of website that you need, a business website, a WordPress website, and even a WooCommerce web store.
Their prices are competitive with every single of the web hosting platform out there. They have three price plan for each type of website, StartUp ($3.95 per month), GrowBig ($5.95 per month), and GoGeek ($11.95 per month)
Each of the price plans has its advantages and disadvantages, respectively. Just check the comparison chart below to view which price plan best suit your hosting needs.
Siteground always focus on getting their speed as fast as possible. Siteground has SSD drives on all their plans, saying they got Solid State Drives on every single plan, even their cheapest one. So, you don’t have to worry about the speeds. I can say personally that I have had no problems with speeds whatsoever.
Another important factor when it comes to choosing some web hosting is the uptime. If you check their page, Siteground promises 99.99% uptime, and they say it is guaranteed.
Out of my experience, I have never had a problem whatsoever in the whole time I have been with Siteground. It is pretty much 100 percent uptime.
In terms of customer support, honestly, I have never had any complaint about their support. They give you 24/7 customer support. They are very fast at replying no matter what time of the day. It is like I said, I am in Thailand, I am gonna completely different timezone to them. They still go back to me pretty much within a few minutes. Every single time I have needed any help, and it always works fantastic.
One thing you might not like is they don’t give the free domain to register. You have to register a new domain ($15.95 per year) or point your existing domain to Siteground. In most cases, I just register my domain in other registrar and then point it to the Siteground server.

Bluehost is also another web host I highly recommend. If you jump to their selling page, you will notice that you get free domain registration, free SSL certificate, including a one-click WordPress install and 24/7 customer support. My personal experience with all these, it is entirely accurate.
24/7 ticket support is insane. No matter what problem I have or whatever timezone it is, I can get my tickets replied fast. They are always very helpful.
In term of price, they have three price plans, starting from $3.95 per month to $13.95 per month. You can begin your testing straight away, as you are secured with 30 days money back guarantee. You will have a full refund if you cancel within 30 days.
A basic plan can only host one website, so if you are a newbie and start website building, this basic plan is good enough. If you intend to build more than one site, I highly recommend going way up to a Choice Plus plan, $5.95 per month. It hosts you unlimited websites and gives you a more premium experience.
In terms of uptime and loading speed, Bluehost delivers impressive performance. I have never had downtime with Bluehost since I used them. Its uptime should be at least 99.99%.
I tested my website with GTmetrix. The PageSpeed score and YSlow score both overtake 90% rating. I can say the loading speed with Bluehost is quite fast.
The only thing that I don’t like about Bluehost is you can’t pay every single month. Saying, you have to pay a year or more in advance. They also have two years and three years of options. The longer you sign up, the cheaper you will pay per month.
However, if you choose the more extended payment, it might motivate you to focus on your website project, rather than to waste money. That is the truth, at least for me. I can’t say it is something awful.

Hostwinds is the first web hosting I ever used. What they impress me is its 24/7 online chat support. Most of the shared web hosting support their customers via the open tickets. They seldom offer online support for the budget shared hosting service. However, Hostwinds will never let you down in term of online support.
Honestly, if you are a newbie or lack of knowledge for website building and hosting, Hostwinds is one of your best bet. They educate me and support to solve my technical problem. I learn and grow my experience and technique of website building and management, along with them. I am pleased with them.
Hostwinds cover many types of website hostings service, Shared hosting, VPS, Cloud, and Dedicated hosting. Their prices are also varied.
Its price for shared hosting is one of the most competitive in the market. The price plan comes from Basic $3.29 to Ultimate $5.17 per month, which should suit most of website hosting needs.
Hostwinds also comes with free domain, free SSL certificate, and free website transfers.
The latest cPanel comes with Softaculous Auto Install, so you can easily install WordPress by just one-click.

A2Hosting is another competitor in the market. Lets first take a check their price plan. A2Hosting price plan is very flexible and versatile, as it covers most types of website hosting, not just cheap shared hosting, but also includes VPS and dedicated hosting for advanced users.
In term of shared hosting, A2Hosting also offers three price packages, Lite, Swift, and Turbo. The price ranges from $3.92 per month to $9.31 per month, still very competitive.
One of the main selling points for A2Hosting is its speed. A2Hosting’s Turbo plan claims its speed 20x faster than its competitors.
In my honest opinion, if you already have a website and would like to speed up the loading, migrate to A2Hosting Turbo plan. To stay with A2Hosting, you won’t lose the visitors because of speed problems.
A2Hosting offers excellent customer support. You can reach them by phone call, live chat, email, and real reviews. 24/7 support team is always standing by for you.
If you use WordPress CMS, you might find wp installation might not be as easy as Bluehost’s. If you are not tech savvy, you might have to educate yourself on Youtube or other tutorials, but trust me, it is a simple process once you learn.
A2Hosting does not give free domain. If you have no domain and register with them, you have to pay $14.99 per year.

Hostinger is the most inexpensive shared hosting in this review. It also comes with three price plans, single, Premium, and Business.
The Single plan is only as cheap as $1.45 per month, but obviously with sources limitation. You can only host one website and 100 GB Bandwidth.
In term of uptime, I have had very minimal downtime problems with them and most of in my cases, my websites went down due to a server upgrade and maintenance, or even just an update being deployed to ensure that their services are very up-to-date, very reliable and stable. They claim 99.99% uptime guarantee with the hosting platforms at Hostinger.
Hostsinger’s customer support has been very proactive in responding to my queries. No matter how complex or straightforward your query is, you don’t have to wait for long hours to get replied in the queue.
Hostinger also comes with Live chat support. However, you can’t get live online help unless you are a registered user with them.
I have no problem with the loading speed, but if your website takes off and have more than one thousand visitors per day, I suggest you upgrade to the better plan for stable performance.

Why are these website hosting service good?
While you are choosing your website hosting, there are many factors involved to consider indeed. If you have no or little experience in website building, I recommend you start with a budget shared hosting plan. These shared hosting servers usually cost you only a few dollars per month, but good enough to hold a large amount of daily traffic and give a reliable online performance.
The shared hosting, to compare with those expensive dedicated servers or VPS plan, is always the best and most economical choice to kick off. Once your website takes off and validates its profitability, you can still move your website from a shared server to a VPS plan. That is usually what I do when I start a new website project.
When I choose my shared hosting, I will take the most care with the following points.
How much uptime does the server give the website? Saying, no one wants their websites always in the trouble of being downtime.
How quickly does your opened ticket get replied? Unless you are a very technical guy, you would mostly rely on the hosting’s support if you would like to proceed your website project smoothly well. Ideally, there should be online chat support. However, most of the budget shared hosting won’t offer online chat support.
Another thing I will check is its loading speed. I will test the loading speed from the different servers. Yeah, you can speed up the loading if you do perfect onsite optimization. However, the best server should technically support the optimized loading speed. Additionally, the website’s loading speed is also one of the most important SEO factors, while Google considers ranking your site.
In summary, the uptime, customer support, and loading speed, these 3 points should be definitely in your checklist.
Why Should You Choose a Good Web Hosting?
Choosing the right web host really matters. A bad web host will not only give you headaches, but it also will waste your money and cost your website to run slow and maybe even delete your website without notice.
On the other hand, a good web host will load your website almost immediately. It will minimal to no downtime. It also wont get more expensive year after year.
Most importantly, it will help you in your business to make more money. If you are a small business owner or any business owner for that matter, an aspiring blogger or just someone looking to bring a cool idea to the life, choosing a reliable web hosting is extremely important.
